Components of a Build Challenge

Build challenges typically follow this format:

  • The creation and sharing of a build prompt, which determines what participants must build and includes specific parameters to incorporate.
  • The Build Challenge phase consisting of the following:
    • Teams planning, then building a model or structure, based on the build prompt.
    • Teams present their work, whether live or captured digitally.
  • The use of a rubric to objectively assess and score participants' submissions.
