Prompt creation
Prompts are a valuable element to scholastic esports, as they can be designed to challenge students to demonstrate their learning on a variety of topics. They can
- Integrate into curriculum
- Focus on community improvement
- Achieve future sustainability
- Represent oneself
When creating a prompt, consider:
- What are you currently teaching?
- What is relevant to your class or club? Curriculum expectations? School? Or your community?
- How can students model their understanding of a topic?
- What are the success criteria?
You can phrase a build prompt however you like, however, it's important to consider:
- A defined theme
- A description of what students must build
- Examples
- Establishing any unique judging criteria (for example, we're looking for…)
Use these are example build prompts for reference.
