Student planning and building
After students receive the build prompt, they must prepare for the building phase. Although you decide how this time is facilitated, this phase is typically broken down into two segments:
- The planning phase is time provided for students to develop a strategy for their build. This can be used in many ways. Students may choose to:
- Create a rough draft of their build
- Research important details to incorporate
- Determine a list of tasks to complete
- The building phase is when players have a designated amount of time to complete their build.
Once the build phase is complete, student presentations begin.
