Want to continue to utilize Minecraft Education in your classroom? There are numerous learning opportunities beyond the Hour of Code / Hour of AI.

Minecraft's AI Build Challenge

New to the 2025 Hour of AI experience, students have the opportunity to extend their learning by participating in the AI Build Challenge. This AI Build Challenge toolkit helps students explore artificial intelligence by creating helpful agents that solve real problems in our communities.

Students imagine having a helpful robot assistant in Minecraft that can think, make decisions, and take action to solve problems! That's what students create in an AI Agent Build Challenge. Students design their own AI agents that can:

  • Sense the world around them (What's happening?)
  • Think about what to do (What's the best action?)
  • Act to help solve problems (Let's do it!)

Whether it's an agent that helps farmers during droughts, protects villages at night, or keeps our environment clean, students learn how AI works by building solutions that matter.
