Hello,

I just replaced an old (file) server by a 2022 server.

Some shared folders are mapped using GPO (for exemplae : E: \SERVER\share01$)
The users can read and write in these folders and their subfolders (according to their access rights).

But, it is not possible for them to copy files to these mapped drivers.
Error message is "Location is not available".
Writing files (from a program) works fine on the same destination, but not copy/paste.

The reverse action works : copy a file from the mapped drive on server and paste it localle (on the local C: drive).

The problem occurs from a local PC and from a RDS (with same user account).

However, if the UNC \SERVER\share01$ is used (instead of mapped drive E:) , the problem does not occurs, everything works fine.

Administrators does not have this problem.

Update of registry key EnableLinkedConnections is not working.

Do you have any idea to solve this problem please ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

    1. Please verify if Special NTFS rights 'Read Permissions' was not checked,
    2. Please try to MAP folder using Net use command and try to copy \ paste from this shared folder.

    net use Z: \ServerName\Shared Folder\

    Solution found.

It was just an access rights mistake on the root of the sahre.
