Mapping local NAS network share from AzureAD?

Hi dear community,

Our customer is slowly moving from on-premise environment to almost fully cloud infrastucture.

All computers are soon moved to AzureAD and all company related documents are moved to SharePoint.

They still would like to keep their local NAS for managing large files (many Gb´s).

Is there way to map this local NAS drive / NAS shares for users signing in with their AzureAD credentials?

There might not be need for authentication for this drive, since files are used by all company employees, but some access management would still be nice, if it´s even possible.

Thank you!

br,
Aazzuuu

    Hi

You can share your network drive with Azure AD users:

    https://miketerrill.net/2019/07/04/how-to-create-a-network-share-in-an-aad-only-environment/

You should have your NAS Azure AD join and have been exposed to the internet or to your VPN.

    Hope this helps!
