TenantOrganizationConfig parameter when upgrading from Exchange 2010 to 2016 in a hybrid Ex2010 / M365 environment

I want to upgrade my test environment from Exchange 2010 to 2016, using the parameter: /TenantOrganizationConfig

What exactly does this do to my M365/Azure AD tenant?

Can I still use Exchange 2010 in my live environment after the /TenantOrganizationConfig paramter is used?

If I do this successfully in my test environment, can I do the same command in live environment again, or will it fail?

Thanks
Richard.

Why the need to run that switch?
Its not required in an existing hybrid environment

    Hi anonymous user,

What exactly does this do to my M365/Azure AD tenant?

When we configure the hybrid, information is stored in AD, at present, we migrate exchange 2010 to exchange 2016 and update the AD, we should use /TenantOrganizationConfig to update Tenant configuration information.

Can I still use Exchange 2010 in my live environment after the /TenantOrganizationConfig paramter is used?

Exchange 2010 is end of support, we suggest you use exchange 2016 hybrid.

If I do this successfully in my test environment, can I do the same command in live environment again, or will it fail?

It looks seem no problem, in case you'd better do backup.

In addition, here a guidance on Hybrid Exchange 2010 To Hybrid Exchange 2016 for your reference and hope it help.
