GNS3 router c7200 doesn't connect to the local machine

I created a network adapter using Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adapter. Then added that adapter to a "cloud" in GNS3 and connected that to router on GNS3. Configured the router accordingly and tried to ping to the network adapter (my loopback interface) but didn't work. I turned off the firewall as well but that didn't work too. GNS3 runs on the local machine (not on a VM). Can anyone please give me some guidance on this?
