I am looking for the following information to make my existing Win32 desktop apps compatible with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022, but cannot find it. Do you have any of these information?

  • Certification for Win32 desktop apps for Windows 11 and Windows Sever2022.
  • Windows Compatibility Cookbook for Windows Sever2022.

    Hi higa3383,

    Thank you for your post.

As far as I know, Microsoft seems doesn't have any standalone program to certify application. If we want to approve the apps, always we need to join Microsoft Partner program which is:
    https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/
You may publish Desktop app in the Microsoft Store too, take a look at:
    https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-store/desktop-apps/
The Windows and Windows Server compatibility cookbook is basically about Win10 and Windows Server 2012. For Win11 and Windows Server 2022 really not much information.
Based on my search, the link below about Win11 certification for desktop apps may be helpful to you.
    Compatibility cookbook for Windows
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/windows-11/
    Certify your desktop application
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/win_cert/windows-certification-portal
Meanwhile, for the development issue for desktop app, I suggest that we could post the issue to App compatibility forum.
