Index page not loading in MVC asp.net Core Application

IOException: IDX20807: Unable to retrieve document from: 'System.String'. HttpResponseMessage: 'System.Net.Http.HttpResponseMessage', HttpResponseMessage.Content: 'System.String'.

i am getting the above error. Can some suggest me a solution.

Your code looks correct, try to add the [AllowAnonymous] attribute on the Index Action, perhaps the issue related the Authorization.

[AllowAnonymous] public IActionResult Index() { return View(); }
