OS: Windows Server 2008 R2

After detect that shared folder on the Windows Server can not be accessed from other PC in the network, the server was checked and was noted that the Lanmanserver is stopped. A manual start was tried over the service and fit ailed by popping an error message that that states that a dependency service not exists or is marked for deletion. The system events were checked then and an error was found that says that the "Server" service depends on the SAMSS service and this service could be not installed. The services status was verified on the server manager tool, and the "Security Accounts Manager" is not listed. The SAMSSS associated process lsass.exe is running, but it has no service associated. Additionally Lanmanworstation service is also stopped bay the same reason.

    Hi,

Does the issue occur on all clients or some specific clients can't access this share folder? What's the system version of clients?

Try to run the following command line as administrator to repair system file and WMI components.

    sfc /scannow
    winmgmt /verifyrepository

If you have installed any third party antivirus software, try to disable them temporarily to check the issue.

    Bests,
