Cannot delete DevTest Labs

Hi everyone,

I created a test DevTest Labs environment which deployed successfully. After testing I tried deleting the DevTest Labs instance - the Storage Account and Key Vaults were removed, but the DevTest Labs resource is still there and in a "Failed" state.

I've tried deleting the resource via the Azure Portal after 24hrs. I've done this twice over the past few days, but after an hour it times out and stays in a "Failed" state.

Is there another way I can delete the resource?

    Hello, @Adam Cain !

Unable to delete DevTest Labs resource due to failed state
Thank you for being patient while we address this! I've confirmed with the product group that a patch to address this issue started rolling out early today around 2:30PM UTC (a little under 7 hours ago) and should now be live for most if not all regions. Try deleting your DevTest Labs again now that the patch is live and let me know if you are still running into this issue.

How do I find the Correlation ID in the Azure portal for an operation or event?
The correlationID is extremely helpful for us when investigating logs as some errors can have multiple causes. To find the correlationID of a failed operation in the portal:

    1. Go to the resource.
    2. Click on Activity log.
    3. Select an operation from the list.
    4. Go to the JSON tab
    5. Search for correlationID

    Hi Adam,

It seems it is stuck or looped in the backend, can you check if you do not have dependent resources linked to that resources? If nothing is there and still in failed state I will suggest you to raise a support call with Microsoft to get this deleted from the backend.

    Hope this helps.
