    No, a redeploy operation is more like a slow reboot. It simply redeploys where your VM instance will run within the datacentre, it has no impact on the OS, code, applications etc. outside of a standard reboot impact.

    Yes, the extension reinstalls but only if the new configuration is different from the old one.
