SQL Server Path doesn't exist in CM setup.

I am currently trying to setup Configuration Manager 2203. Everything in the install wizard has gone fine so far, but when it tries to find where to place database files, it errors saying they don't exist.

It auto-fills the location from the SCCM database, and these paths do exist on the SQL server, yet it thinks they don't exist. I do not want to setup a local SQL instance, all other connections to the remote server have had no issues.

My thoughts are somewhere along that the read/write or account setup to use doesn't have the correct permissions.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks.

does the account (and site server computer account) doing the install have full admin on the Sql server? does the path actually exist?

I just came across this and hope it helps someone... It's probably the Windows Firewall. You need to enable "SMB-In" on the SQL server.

(I had to create my own "SQL-In" earlier.)
