Azure Appliance for Migration Question

Dear All,

             I'm doing a vm on-premise migration to azure, and i installed azure appliance and i could discoverd the appliance under Azure Migrate: Discovery and assessment, but it shows data not available and validation failed, do i need to add credential in azure appliance in order to make software inventory availableis it a must to do that for the migration ? so that the Software inventory must be complete to start onboarding discovered servers to Azure Arc ? any help would be appreicated

where can i find the subscription id, application id etc ?

    I see that you are trying to perform Arc on-boarding and being blocked with errors. Software inventory is a must to perform Arc Onboarding and to start Software Inventory, user needs to provide server credentials in a step 3 on Panel 2. Please refer to the doc here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/how-to-discover-applications

    If you don't have access to server credentials, then there is no way to start software inventory. You can use Arc for servers to onboard your servers to Arc separately. That experience is also available independent of Azure Migrate appliance.
