Property color does not turns blue while searching in File Explorer

Hello all,

I am facing one aesthetic issue while searching the files with its property in File Explorer Search ( top-right corner). If I search for 'Title' property then its color turns to 'blue', making sure that this property is valid and registered and it is good enough to search with this property.

On non-working machine, when I try to search using 'Title' property, search results are getting displayed but the property color does not turn blue.

Configurations: (both have Windows Server OS)

For working : Server 2019

For non working : Server 2022

Can anyone please help me understand whether it is not supported or are there any updates/settings required to get this working. Attached image for better understanding.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Gautam

    Hello there,

Windows automatically compresses a few files and folders to save space on your hard disk and when a file or folder gets compressed, Windows shows its name in blue color to make them easier to identify.

    1. Open Windows Explorer, click on Organize -> Folder and search options in command bar. Windows XP users will need to click on Tools -> Folder Options.
    2. It’ll open Folder Options window. Now go to “View” tab.
    3. Now look for an option “Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color“. It would be enabled by default if not select it and reboot the device.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in our Q&A forum.

You can check the search tools in File Explorer.

    Search Tools> other properties> Title

The color change is just the difference in the display.

    Hope the information is helpful.
