Effects of Changing Domain Password Policy

We'll be changing our domain's password policy in Active Directory soon, and I've got a couple questions. If we change the maximum password age from 90 to 120 days for example, how does this affect passwords that are already set? Will existing passwords be extended an additional 30 days?

Also, if we change the password length from 8 to 15, will existing short passwords be affected, or will they be allowed until it's time for them to be changed.

Thanks

    Hello,

    Answer here : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/543fc5ec-a364-4886-8330-2907aeebb481/change-of-active-directory-password-policy-impact-current-users?forum=winserverDS

    Answer :

The new maxPwdAge policy will immediately apply. The others only apply when the password is next changed. Since your domain maxPwdAge value increases, there should be no impact on users.
