Accessing SharePoint 2019 folders using UNC issue

Hi team,

We are planning to upgrade to Sharepoint 2019 from Sharepoint 2013.

During test, we find that we are having trouble in accessing the sharepoint share folder for version 2019.

But no issue in accessing sharepoint share folder for version 2013.

Working version (Sharepoint 2013)

UNC path to access - \apple.tg.com\All Plants Names\Reports\

Issue version (sharepoint 2019)

UNC path to access - \stageapple.tg.com\All Plants Names\Reports\

Just to note:

Testing is done on user end. No mapping is done for both sharepoint version.

If I do mapping, I am able to see and access with the word @rithansodo \DavWWWRoot in the UNC path.

UNC path to access - \stageapple.tg.com@rithansodo \DavWWWRoot\All Plants Names\Reports\

Is there a way to access it without using the word @rithansodo \DavWWWRoot?

Another note:

Webclient is running fine. No issue.

Hi @PhilZ ,

Unfortunate though it is, as per my knowledge it is not supported to access SharePoint 2019 library using UNC path if you don't map the library to a network drive. This is by design.
