FSLogix - VHD Disk Compaction not running

Good day

Our FSLogix profiles are getting large despite users cleaning them up,

I ran scripts to shrink the profiles.

On further investigation I found that there is functionality that is suppose to automatically shrink the profiles on log off, VHD Disk Compaction.

This according to documentation should be turn on by default but looking at the logs advised in the troubleshooting guide there are no entries for VHD Disk Compaction ,

Checked the other requirement which was to make sure that the defragsvc service was on manual or automatic which it is.

I did see there was a way to disable it, by making a change to a reg entry Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FSLogix\Apps\VHDCompactDisk

and setting the value to 0.

That reg entry does not exist.

Kind regards

Donnevan
