I think earlier version we have the option to create the file before we click to start an installation process.

Hello,
I would like to perform an unattended SQL Server 2022 Express installation via Configuration file but before that I am trying to generate configuration.ini file during Normal installation but I am not getting prompt to generate the file, instead of that it's starting to install it so I have to let it finish and I am not getting any Configuration file which I can use for my next sql server installation for other servers.
Any Idea?

Joe VRP 0 Reputation points2024-02-23T20:15:57.48+00:00 From the command prompt. navigate to the folder your setup.exe files exists in, and run it with the following switches: SETUP.exe /UIMODE=Normal /ACTION=INSTALL this will prompt it to create a configuration file, it'll tell you where it is on the bottom of the installation screen before you get to READY TO INSTALL Once past that roadblock, having the Azure extension automatically unchecked is where I'm getting stuck.

2023-06-29T23:23:27.5333333+00:00 I think Sql Server 2019 Express edition also have the issue as it's not showing the option to get the .ini file for installation before you click the install.
Anyone know how to generate it?
Even I can't see the file "ConfigurationFile.ini" from the location "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\150\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20230629_144910
Appreciate your help!
