Preinstalled Windows 11 Home in S Mode on my new Acer Aspire has an deactivated version of Windows.
I allowed IT specialists with Microsoft Support share my PC via Quick Assist, and they did locate my product key, but it still cannot be re-entered because it's brand new and still in S Mode, so the Microsoft App in the store to remove it out of S Mode cannot do it.
We all tried many ways to try and fix the issue. I didn't do anything with its hardware for Windows to do this. In the end they told me that the Acer company would not even be able to fix the problem because it's a manufacturing defect.
Regardless I would still love to be able to fix this, so I'm posting this in here and hopefully some IT rock star might run across it and realize that there is a way it can be remedied. I wish I didn't have to depend on these nickel & dime Laptops, such as this Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB | 15.6" Full HD IPS Display | AMD Ryzen 3 3350U Quad-Core Mobile Processor | 4GB DDR4 | 128GB NVMe SSD | WiFi 6 | Backlit KB | FPR | Amazon Alexa | Windows 11 Home in S mode, but HEY! I'm a single parent whose son is at Yale University on a full scholarship, & while I'm very proud of him, it's still my job to support him while he's achieving his education, so now I have TWO households I must pay to keep up.
Okay... Digitally installed version of Windows 11 Home in S Mode is testing me to see if the PC will drive me to have a nervous breakdown because it cannot be ACTIVATED!!! Any takers? No?
