Volume space is not reclaimed on Storage Spaces Direct

Question

Hi All,

I have Windows Server 2016 Failover Cluster with Storage Spaces Direct.

Recently, I started to get alerts that disk is running out of space.

I deleted few .VHDX files but free volume space is not changed.

Is it normal?

Is there any command to reclaim free disk space?

Run the following powershell commands:

Optimize-StoragePool -FriendlyName "Storage Pool"

Optimize-Volume X -ReTrim -SlabConsolidate
