Hardware resource usage capping per user session

Hello,

In Windows server 2022, is it possible to cap the usage of hardware resources (e.g. RAM, CPU cores and GPU VRAM) that can be allocated to each Windows session?

If not, can the load balance be at least configured to prevent a given user connecting to the server through RDP to consume all the hardware resources of the server?

Best,

S.

    Hello there,

As Windows Server system itself, I am afraid that there is no such mechanism for capping hardware usage.

The capacity planning for Host Integration Server, SNA Gateway needs to take into consideration several factors. They can be divided into four areas; total number of sessions, server load, fault tolerance and deployment model. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/host-integration-server/core/total-number-of-sessions
