SCCM client push with error code: CcmSetup failed with error code 0x87d00454

Question

Hello all, hoping someone is able to provide some guidance as to what my issue could be...

i tried installing the sccm client from console and are getting the following error:

Failed to acquire certificate private key.

Failed to get client certificate for transportation. Error 0x87d00283

CcmSetup failed with error code 0x87d00454

and the installation then fails.

when i look at the IIS cert and Site PKI cert, they are not the same. Should they be? could this be the reason why clients are not installing?

i also have only have "HTTPS Only" enabled in my SITE - Communication security.

this is a clean install of the sccm agent. so i only have the ccmsetup.log available to me.

any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
