does windows 10 system spell check uppercase words? i have found that it does in word but not the actual system, for example THEEEERRRFFF is not checked but theeerrfff is?
any advice would be great

This is behavior by design and when you are writing uppercase, it is normally not a actual word so spellcheck won't check it. As workaround, you could write lower case to check. However, you are always welcome to use Feedback Hub app and suggest new features in Windows.
