Questionable charges for program purchases and downloads

On April 14 I tried to install a copy of windows 10 onto a new build. When asked to activate, I realized I had an invalid key. After numerous failed attempts, I went to the Microsoft store and purchased a license key for $199. I went through the procedures and ultimately installed the program. Later that same day, I revisited the store and purchased, downloaded and successfully installed a copy of Office student for $149.99.  Both purchases were made with Paypal.  Now on my credit card dashboard I see the 2 above-mentioned purchases plus a pending $149.99 charge. On my Paypal activity page I see the same info. On my Microsoft order history page I see:

  1. Windows 10/11 Pro, $199.00 completed. Paid with Paypal
  2. Office Home & Student 2021 Completed $149.99 with an “Install button”. Paid with Paypal
  3. A second Office, etc. “Redeemed” $0.00. Details also shows $0.00 and paid with redeem code. I have already successfully installed the two programs. What is the significance of the second office item and why does the one that says “Completed” still have an “install” button?

Hi, thanks for coming into the forums. I'm also a user like you and I'll be more than happy to help you to the best of my knowledge. It seems that there are duplicate Office purchases. However, since this is related to billing concerns and we don't have access to your account as this is a user forum. I suggest reaching out to Microsoft support via live chat, they are the ones who can verify these.

    1. Click this link https://support.microsoft.com/contactus make sure to log in with your account and choose Microsoft 365. THE VERY IMPORTANT PART:
    2. Choose 'Get Home Support' and type the 'technical Microsoft problem'.
    3. Click 'Get Help' then scroll down and select 'Contact Support'.
    4. Confirm your email. If the reply is helpful, please Upvote and Accept it as an answer.
