Microsoft teams is using VP8 codec in linux calls?

When I make Teams 1:1 call from Chromium Browser and NOT native teams app. I am seeing in chrome://webrtc-internals that it is using VP8 codec. But, when I join a meeting link OR make call to Windows device I see it is using H264 codec. Is this expected?
