Good evening, all,

We have been using Windows 7 up until 2019. In 2019 we upgraded to Windows 10 LTSC 2019 (1809) and we have never messed with the start menu. All users had the same app list and no tiles pinned. However, we have recently upgraded most of our machines to Windows 10 education 22H2. As we have been using Windows 10 for quite a while, we decided to create custom start menus for staff and students. Is there any way to export a staff layout for users in the staff group and a student layout for users in the student group. (So, we don't have to keep manually setting it up for each user)

The image above is how we want the start menu for staff to look like.

The 2nd Image Above is how we want the student start menu to look like.

If anyone knows a solution please reply as we need this done by Monday (We work in the UK)

    Hello @Boyz sweat

I would suggest following below 2 documents to achieve this :

Customize and export Start layout - Configure Windows | Microsoft Learn

Customize Windows 10 Start and taskbar with group policy - Configure Windows | Microsoft Learn

To summarize, you can export start menu layout  (.XML) to a shared folder that is accessible by all users in your organization. Then, create a Group Policy Object (GPO) that applies to all users on your device and enable the policy Start Layout.
