Hi all,

Im having an issue with the online version on excel , I am simply wanting to pull data from one tab to show on another, simply using =. However one particular column only pulls the file path and not the data. I can download a copy and it works fine but i need it to be a live document. Any Ideas?

    Hi @G, Charlotte,

As per my knowledge, it is by design in Excel for online/web. As an alternative, we use copy and paste instead to link date/cells. See this: Create an external reference (link) to a cell range in another workbook. As it is by design, we don't have a workaround for this. It is recommended to provide feedback to let Microsoft know your requirement via Excel desktop application >> File >> Feedback.

    Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Clear cache and cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, as outdated or corrupted data can sometimes cause issues. After clearing the cache, refresh the page and check if the issue persists.

    1. Test in a different browser: Try accessing the Excel Online document in a different browser to see if the issue is specific to your current browser. This can help determine if the problem is browser-related.

    Best Regards.
