Event ID 3355 - SharePoint Foundation - Database

Question

Why am I seeing this error and what can rectify this critical event?

Cannot connect to SQL Server. SRV-SHAREPOINT not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.

Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed during the post-login phase. The connection could have timed out while waiting for server to complete the login process and respond; Or it could have timed out while attempting to create multiple active connections. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=44334; handshake=0; [Login] initialization=0; authentication=0; [Post-Login] complete=15006;

Please follow below tips to troubleshoot the issue.

1.Open SQL Server Configuration Manager -> SQL Server Services -> Make sure SQL Server service and SQL Server Browser service are running.

2.Open SQL Server Configuration Manager -> SQL Server Network Configuration -> Protocols for EPMDB -> Make sure TCP/IP is enabled.

3.Open server manager in AD server, SQL server and SharePoint server -> Local server -> Make sure Windows Firewall and IE Enhanced Security Configuration are off.
