Can not register a .app custom domain encoded with Punnycode

When registering a .app custom domain encode with Punnycode in a Web App, I get the following error
Validation failed because the expected DNS records are not found: The name xn--kreskolen-l8a.app is not valid. Try checking the hostname records entered with your domain provider. Note that it can take up to 48 hours for records changes to take effect.
DNS has been setup.

Thank you for your answer!Hope Microsoft soon realise it's 2023 and the whole world do not live by ASCII character set. Office accepts Punnycode?
