  • Currently the following MPs are installed:
    • 6.1.7600.0 of "Remote Desktop Services Management Pack" to cover Windows Server 2008 R2
    • 7.0.8560.0 of "Windows Server 2012 Remote Desktop Services" to cover Windows Server 2012
    • 7.1.10100.0 of "Windows Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services" to cover Windows Server 2012 R2
    • 10.0.5.0 of "Windows Server 2016 Remote Desktop Services" to cover Windows Server 2016
  • All versions above have instances.
  • The newer - version agnostic - MP version 10.0.6.0 is available but it covers only Windows Server 2016 and above OS-es AND earlier version of Remote Desktop management packs must be removed before installing this one.
Quote from MP Guide document: "Note: MP Upgrade is not supported from 10.0.5.0. backup overrides MPs, delete all RDS Mps, and install the new version 10.0.6.0"

So my question is:
If I wan to install the version 10.0.6.0 then does the uninstall required for the version 6.1.7600.0, 7.0.8560.0 and 7.1.10100.0 too? (Next to the version 10.0.5.0)

    Hello there,

I do not think we must remove the older version as this is a cumulative update of the Remote Desktop Services Management Pack.

The Remote Desktop Services Management Pack helps you manage your computers that are running Remote Desktop Services on Windows Server by monitoring the health of Remote Desktop Services role services.

You can check the requirements here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54806

Hope this resolves your Query !!
