Can you hide the main Apps collection on the My Apps page so users only see the App Launchers I create?

We would like to create two App Launchers - Students and Faculty - so that when a user of a specific group logs into their My Apps page, they only see the corresponding App Launcher page. My issue and question is, can I hide the primary Apps collection from users, so that they only see the App Launcher apps I have selected, and not the entire Apps Collection? Thanks!
