Can existing customer create classic storage (unmanaged disk)?

Hi experts,

From the below article, it can be interpreted in the way that an existing customer with storage account can create new classic storage (unmanaged disk). Am I correct?

As of September 30, 2023, new customers won't be able to create unmanaged disks.

    Thanks for sharing the update.
    I am sharing the solution that you got from the Azure Support team in an answer, for others to easily reference/discover.

    As risolis shared from the official documentation,
    Subscriptions created before September 1, 2022 will be able to create classic storage accounts until September 1, 2023. However, after confirmation from the Azure Support team, it looks like - no new unmanaged disks can be created regardless of the customers (new or existing) at this point.

    We recommend creating storage accounts only in Azure Resource Manager from this point forward.
