teams tab Unable to open other desktop applications using window.open

We were having a personal app inside the teams, in which at one point we could we open our dekstop app using "window.open". But after the latest update for the teams desktop app , this does not work anymore. We are not able to open the dekstop app from the teams dekstop app. Please help me with a solution or work around.

Thomas Guzzoni 0 Reputation points2023-06-27T11:44:39.0733333+00:00 Hi, please collect desktop logs from the client and search for the window.open event; my guess is that you will find this line "-- warning -- Security: attempting to open url with unsupported protocol".
Seems like something's broken in latest client update, do you have version 1.6.00.16472 by any chance?

Now, clicking to open my other desktop application will cause a Teams pop-up window to appear, as if it is blocking the opening. Is it because Teams has updated something that does not support opening other desktop applications through protocols
