Application insights charge for data ingested as the following page states:

Azure Monitor log analytics and application insights charge for data ingested. We currently offer 2 log ingestion plans – Basic Logs and Analytic Logs – detailed below.

You will be charged accordingly to the amount of data ingested, so please see the pricing table in the link.
