Configure Print queue to convert a print job to a file and save to defined location?

Hi,

Is it possible to configure a print queue on Windows Server 2019 to take an incoming print job from an application, convert it to a file and then save it to a defined location?

The intention is to use this method as an alternative to allowing users to use a "save as" option within an application.

Ideally the file format would be .pdf, but other options would be fine if the basic functionality can be made to work.

Thanks,

Lloyd

    Hello Lloyd Courtney

If you want to configure a print server to receive incoming print jobs from client devices and then convert and save those jobs to a defined location, you might consider setting up a custom print processor or use third-party software on print server.
