Getting a MySQL Server error while connecting to server from PowerBI Desktop

Question

While using the Microsoft Power BI desktop application and trying to import data from a remote MySQL server i am getting the error message as an error happened while reading data from the provider:'internal connection fatal error. Error state: 18'. Manually from windows cmd i able to login to the remote server and input sql queries and get the responses without any issues. Please support on how i can connect and import data from the server and please let me know if further information is needed to resolve this issue. Thank you.
