    Hi
    ora
    •,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for using Azure Services.

As I understand, you want to know the platform compatibility of SQL Server On premises to Azure PostgreSQL.

Let me know if the understanding is different.

There is no notion of compatibility between SQL and PostgreSQL as they are two different engines with very different origins.

Since MSSQL and PostgreSQL are two separate database engines, there isn’t any compatibility matrix for migrations. In general recommendation will be to use the latest stable version of PostgreSQL for the best functionality and feature support during the migration process.

Here’s a good reference from PostgreSQL Wiki - Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL Migration

Hope this helps. If this answers your query, do click Accept Answer and Mark Helpful for the same. And, if you have any further query do let us know.
