Hi,

I have backup the ReportServer database and encryption key from a SQL2012 sp4 and restore it to SQL 2019. After reconfigured the reporting services, it shows error "Invalid object name 'ExtendedCatalog" when I run the reporting services:

I tried to recreate the ReportServerTempDB but the problem still occurs. Any suggestion?

Thanks

Chong

    Hi @Chong

Did you move the database reportserver and the database reportservertempdb together? They are interdependent and must move together.

For mobile report server database, you can refer to this document: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/install-windows/migrate-a-reporting-services-installation-native-mode?view=sql-server-ver16#bkmk_move_database.

    Best regards,

    Aniya
