Do you want to use VS Community edition for your research?
If you are an individual working on your own applications, it is allowed to use the VS2022 Community.
If you are an organization or “enterprise”, there are some limits to use VS2022 Community. You can check: Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 Licensing.
If the requirements are not met, you may need to buy Professional version.
