DHCP server - Record Registration errors

Hello, I need your help.

I've searched but I can't find my problem. I have a lot of DNS entries that are not up to date. In my DHCP server logs, I have many of these errors:

PTR record registration for IPv4 address [[x.x.x.x]] and FQDN computer.domain.com failed with error 9005 (DNS operation refused.)

Forward record registration for IPv4 address [[x.x.x.x]] and FQDN computer.domain.com failed with error 9005 (DNS operation refused.).

I configured an account on DHCP for DNS dynamic update registration credentials and this account is in the DnsUpdateProxy group. My DHCP computer account is not in this group.

I notice in my DNS some entries were added by this account, but other entries were added by the computers directly. So I think this is what is causing my errors, the DHCP server wants to update its entries but does not have the rights. Do I understand correctly?

All scopes are configured like this:User's image

I'm missing a detail? I only have one DHCP server, and 3 DCs. Your help is really appreciated!

    Hello,

In addition to confirming the account permission problem, the following points should also be confirmed:

    1. DNS Server configuration issues: You may need to check the configuration of the DNS server to make sure it allows the registration of those records.
    2. Network issues: Check your network connection to make sure those devices can connect to the DNS server.
    3. Timeout: Sometimes, DNS server may refuse the registration of the record due to a long wait for a response, you can try again later.

    Best Regards,

    Wesley Li
