Hey Ladis and Gents,

Can someone help me with the following issues? I made a mistake on my end and trying to correct it.

I created a Microsoft Group which is currently disabled using SMTP address ******@freedomain.com. After creating this DL the department stated that they no longer wanted the group and to move it to a DL.

Steps i took to make this happen:

  1. Disabled the Microsoft group
  2. Created a Distribution List using the same SMTP address (******@freedomain.com)
  3. Great, it worked out.
  4. Now im being asked for all of the mail that was sent to the Microsoft Group to be transferred to the distribution list

Problem:

  1. The new distribution list is now using the primary SMTP address of the group
  2. With this being said I am unable to restore the group
  3. I tried changing the SMTP address on the DL and then restore the group but i received an error message that the groups were to much alike and it could not proceed with my request.

Is there anyway i can transfer the mail from the disabled Microsoft Group (without restoring) to the newly created Distribution List?
