Remote desktop app active connection minimizes automatically with multiple monitors

I have a dual monitor setup and am using the remote desktop app. When I have an active remote connection and click on an app on the second monitor the active remote desktop connection will minimize. I have found no way to force the active connection to remain maximized while working on other monitor. I need to see what is in the active connection while working on the other monitor. This seems like a remote desktop app bug.

Hello, This behavior is by design. If you want to avoid this behavior, you can try full screen mode. This is the step:

    1. Open mstsc and choose "show options"
    2. Choose "display", and in display configuration, choose full screen.

I have exactly same problem when i open my published RemoteApp and then minimize on my monitor 2 and after this maximize, it maximizes on my monitor 1 which i dont want, it even is unresponsive after this monitor change.

I edited my rdp shortcut and add "selectedmonitors:s:1" - 1 is my second monitor. Monitor count start from 0.

Now is working ok. minimize/maximize on same monitor.

I read this things on hanselman com blog when you want read more about this or just search on google "rdp selectedmonitors"
