Error when I want to convert a public team to org-wide TEAM

I am a Global Admin of an NGO and have MS for NGOs. Unfortunately, I always get an error when I want to convert my team into an org-wide team. I've already tried installing and uninstalling. Unfortunately, on the MS Admin page there are only the options “Private” and “Public” but not Org-Wide. What do i have to do? Thanks in advance! User's image

Hello, I'm providing an update on the ongoing issue. Unfortunately, the problem persists. While I can locate the org-wide option, selecting it triggers an error. I've undertaken various troubleshooting steps, including uninstalling and reinstalling Teams, attempting to resolve it through the admin center, and clearing the client cache multiple times. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.

Specifically, when attempting to change to an org-wide team, the error message "Beim Aktualisieren Ihres Teams ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Versuchen Sie es später erneut" (“There was a problem updating your team. Try again later.") is displayed.

Currently, we're manually adding everyone to our team, which is proving to be challenging and time-consuming. We urgently need assistance to address this issue. Further help would be greatly appreciated.

Switch back to classic teams if you are using the "New Teams" and try again. I've had this same issue and that's what resolved it for me. If you don't have classic teams installed locally you can go to teams.microsoft.com and switch the web app back to classic teams and make the adjustment.

Switch back to classic teams if you are using the "New Teams" and try again. I've had this same issue and that's what resolved it for me. If you don't have classic teams installed locally you can go to teams.microsoft.com and switch the web app back to classic teams and make the adjustment.

Based on my knowledge, Global admins can convert an existing team to an org-wide team by editing it in Teams client. Go to the team name, click More options > Edit team. If you have this error message, we recommend you try to check these settings:

1)There’s also a limit of five org-wide teams per tenant. If these requirements are met, global admins will see Org-wide as an option. So please check it.

2)Check if you have the same problem in Teams web client. If there is no issue in Teams web client, please try to clear the client cache file.

3)Try to change another Team to see if this issue can be reproduced.

I have the same issue. Like Avid, there is not an org-wide option on the Microsoft admin portal or the Teams admin portal. To get to where Avid is mentioning, I go to the team via the client > more options > manage team > settings > team details > edit. After I submit org-wide, it changes to public. After I select org-wide again, the error message in the picture shows up.

I also am a global admin, I have no other org-wide teams, and I get the same result regardless of the Team I test on or the web/app client. Your support is appreciated.

Donovan's solution of switching back to Classic solved this for me! I hope Microsoft fixes this before disabling Classic as a backup. Thanks!
