I inadvertently created a duplicate comment on an answer here but I cannot delete it.
The only options I get are Edit and Convert To Answer.

As you have mentioned the delete operation for QandA is not possible, either you can convert or edit it only the moderators can delete the comments, I see the thread you mentioned and don't worry about this, and I have manually deleted the comments,

And what's the idea behind not letting people delete their own comments? Editing comments isn't working either.
Why can I not have control over what I've posted? Seriously... I can edit the comment (edit is working for me) to say something totally different or make it be empty but cant delete it? Makes no sense whatsoever.

For me, this site is actually at best only an annoyance. The developercommunity site is much, much worse when it comes to reporting problems.
