Under SharePoint Admin, Polices, Sharing:

  • If I make changes to the slider, moving to New and Existing Guest must sign in
  • File and Folder Links Specific People

What will the impact be to links shared before the change is made? Will Anyone with the link type links get disabled, it sounds like New and Existing guest will need to sign in to access the shares.

Per my test, if you change sharing level to New and existing guests and set the type of link as Specific People, those links shared before will be invalid. Anyone with the link type get disabled.
