What to do I want to delete files, but

These files aren't shown in a folder or hidden and only appear in the recovery application.

I want to delete them as they take space from the disk but they only appear in the recovery application and there are no remove options.

What makes you think those folders occupy storage space? The screenshots you provided do not show any signs of that.

Try using TreeSize https://www.jam-software.de/treesize_free or similar applications with privileged permissions (run as Administrator) to audit all the files you have on your disk and how much space they need. You can also remove them right away.

    Hello,

If the files are only appearing in a recovery application and not in Windows Explorer, it might be that these files are already deleted but the space they occupied is recoverable.

However, if you want to ensure that the space these files occupy is freed up and the files are not recoverable, you can use a disk cleanup tool or overwrite the free space on your drive. Here’s how:

    Using Disk Cleanup tool:

Search for “Disk Cleanup” in the Start menu and open it.

Select the drive where the files were located and click “OK”.

Check the boxes for the types of files you want to delete (you can safely check all boxes), then click “OK” and “Delete Files”.

The tool will delete unnecessary files from your drive and may overwrite some of the space occupied by the deleted files.

    Overwriting Free Space:

As far as I konw, there are several third-party tools available for this, such as CCleaner or some others software.

Please note that overwriting the free space on your drive will make the deleted files unrecoverable, so only do this if you’re sure you won’t need to recover these files in the future.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
