Hello,

Would you please answer how it is with SQL Server 2012 with extended security support?

I saw that security support and updates should continue until June or July 2025. It Would be great to know if that information is valid and if yes which version are covered (only enterprise or standard or as well express?)?

Thanks for an answer

    Hey there Jurutka, Vojtech

    Thanks for using QandA platform

As far as i know Microsoft had announced Extended Security Updates (ESU) for SQL Server 2012, extending support beyond the end of the Extended Support phase, which ended on July 12, 2022. These updates provide critical and important security updates for a maximum of three years after the end of Extended Support, which would align with your mentioned timeframe of June 2025.

Plz go through the documentation below for detailed info on this.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/end-of-support/sql-server-extended-security-updates?view=sql-server-ver16&tabs=portal

If this helps kindly accept the answer thanks much.
