Here are a few things you can check to understand the cause of this behavior
- Can you please check the status of IoT Hub and your subscription through Azure portal and confirm if they both report the status as
Active
- The student subscription comes with a 100$ credit which can be used within a year. If your credits are used, you would have to switch your subscription to
Pay-as-you-go subscription
. For more details please refer to Azure for Students - If you have deleted an existing IoT Hub and created a new one with the same name, there might be some caching issue in the platform which could be causing this behavior. Try creating an IoT Hub with a different name and see if that helps.
